SERVE

“For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”

Mark 10:45

Serving is one of the practical ways we follow the example of the Lord Jesus Christ. At New Life, there are many opportunities to use your time, talents, and heart for the glory of God and the good of others.

Whether you enjoy working with children, welcoming guests, helping behind the scenes, maintaining the property, serving in outreach, or assisting with practical needs, there is a place for you to serve.

Our desire is not simply to fill positions, but to help every member find a meaningful place to be faithful, useful, and involved in the work of the ministry.

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

The first step is to let us know you are interested. Once you sign up, a ministry leader will follow up with you, learn more about your interests and availability, and help you find the right place to serve.

Do I need experience to serve?

Not always. Some areas require experience or training, but many simply require a willing heart, faithfulness, and a teachable spirit. We will help you know what is needed for each ministry.

How do I serve with kids or in the nursery?

Because children are precious and safety is important, those serving with children or in the nursery must go through the church’s approval process. This  includes an application, background check, training, and approval by church leadership.

How do I serve in security?

Men interested in security should speak with church leadership. This ministry requires maturity, faithfulness, good judgment, and a willingness to serve quietly and responsibly.

Can I serve if I cannot commit every week?

Yes. Some ministries are weekly, but others are monthly, quarterly, seasonal, or occasional. We can help you find an area that fits your availability.

What if I am not sure where I fit?

That is completely fine. Let us know you are interested, and we will help you think through your gifts, schedule, and the current needs of the church.

Are there serving opportunities outside the church building?

Yes. We serve through outreach ministries such as evangelism teams, door knocking, Monday night ministry, Saturday outreach, and the Stove Mission.
